Opening Reception January 20th 2019, 4 - 7 PM

Chateau D'Eau is pleased to present RUG BURN, an exhibition of soap sculptures and drawings by Bri Williams that embody feelings of emptiness and and the strength of fragility. The exhibition is accompanied by an eponymous fragrance designed in collaboration with Maxwell Williams.

Bri Williams is an artist based in Los Angeles, CA. Through crafting and composition, Williams allows her objects to embody the abstract: the incommunicability of pain or our inherited mythical figures. She has participated in shows at Queer Thoughts, Ramiken Crucible, Karma International LA, and Interface Gallery. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA from Mills College.
